About me
I am a BSL Interpreter based in the South. I love meeting new people; I love my job, and I also love dogs and cats and coffee.
Supervision is a must for those of us who work in people-facing jobs. The emotional element of our job leaves us with some sticky stuff that we need to process and work through. Supervision is the place where we can take these thoughts, feelings and emotions. It should be a safe calm space for you to reflect on your work and the impact it has on you and others. The conversations we have will be based on trusting each other in a warm and friendly way and will be conducted respectfully without judgement.
The purpose of supervision is to support, reflect and improve your work and also to enhance your practitioner well-being. We all want interpreters to stay in their job for a long time and feel healthy, happy and motivated. Together we will build the resilience you need.
The supervisory relationship should feel gently challenging but safe, as we reflect on the work you do and the decisions you make. Supervision should support you to become the best practitioner you can be.
I offer the first session free of charge and this is an opportunity for you to tell me what you are looking for and we will explore together what that looks like. I offer 1:1 sessions both in-person and online.
